Is it true that any publicity is better than none atall. Many artists are often in the news for doing crack pot things and maybe they feel they have gone unoticed for a while and this is one way to bring back the attention of the people. Claiming it was all the strain of life.
Britney Spears shaved her hair of in a barbers shop what better to attracked attention, George Michael was caught in a public lavatory stalking men.
So much as brought artists who have almost been forgot about back into the news and talked about which is what they want. They felt they needed the attention and would get it at any price.
Maybe the offers were not coming there way often enough to perform. I have heard it said that it is better to be noticed as a fool than never be noticed atall, what do you think?.
We hate to think every one is looking at us but when we find nobody is looking at us or showing any interest atall in us we feel we have achieved nothing.
Its easy to get talked about even for those who are not in the public eye we can soon build ourselves a reputation but it may be a false one.
Young people often like to give the impression they are hard specially boys and often the ones who look hard are the gentle kind ones. And the soft looking ones are hard.
So its probably best for us to just be ourselves except that most of the time we want to be different to what we are. All so complex.

In the art world, it appears you have to be fairly outrageous to get noticed at all...I just couldn't publicize myself at all so went on being invisible...but, part of me wasn't sure I wanted to be noticed in that way...it seemed demeaning to have to perform bizarre tricks to get the public's or the newspaper's attention...Oh, well...never mind...I've adjusted to the fact that I'm going to remain invisible, and even more so because physically deformed too with my back...LOL...have reached the point though of pinching myself just to see if I really am here...
Have a lovely day, avenscent...
